Gulbenkian Museum is nestled in lush gardens and offers a serene setting to appreciate its extensive collection, formed by Calouste Gulbekian, an Armenian businessman who settled in Lisbon during  WWII.

Our journey begins with the ancient artefacts section, showcasing exquisite pieces from Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Persia. Moving on to the European Art section, where masterpieces by Rembrandt, Monet, and Rodin captivate with their beauty and historical significance.

Royal Palace of Queluz

The National Palace of Queluz is a magnificent 18th-century palace located in Queluz, Portugal, just outside Lisbon. Often referred to as the "Portuguese Versailles," it is one of the country’s most important examples of Rococo, Baroque, and Neoclassical architecture. Built as a summer retreat for the Portuguese royal family, the palace later became the official residence of Queen Maria I.

The palace’s design blends French Rococo elegance with Portuguese decorative arts. Inside, visitors can admire exquisite gilded woodwork, frescoed ceilings, elaborate chandeliers, and intricate tile panels (azulejos). Rooms like the Throne Room, the Music Room or the Chapel are richly decorated, highlighting Portugal’s artistic and religious heritage.

Architectural features like “Canal dos Azulejos”, a river canal lined with traditional blue-and-white tiles that depict scenes from Portuguese history. Évora

Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city in Portugal’s Alentejo region, is a treasure trove of history, culture, and gastronomy. This tour will take us through the city’s most iconic landmarks, blending Roman, Moorish, and medieval influences with charming cobbled streets and whitewashed houses.

Our tour  begins in Praça do Giraldo, the lively central square surrounded by arcades, cafés, and historical buildings. We will visit the Templo Roman Temple, Évora Cathedral, and the Church of São Francisco, home to the eerie yet fascinating Chapel of Bones.

We will conclude our tour enjoying Alentejo’s gastronomy. A rich mediterranean diet, where local olive oil and olives live side by side with local bread   ( one of the best in Portugal) and robust wines.

Mafra & Ericeira

The Mafra region, located in western Portugal, 40min drive from Lisbon, has a rich and diverse history shaped by royal influence, agriculture, and maritime culture. Its strategic location near Lisbon and its fertile lands contributed to its development over the centuries, providing food to Lisbon. In this tour we will learn about the history and culture of the working classes of the Lisbon region.

Our tour begins at the National Palace of Mafra, a stunning Baroque and Neoclassical masterpiece commissioned by King João V in the 18th century. A short drive will take us to Aldeia José Franco, a hidden gem that feels frozen in time. This open-air museum and miniature village was created by the sculptor José Franco to preserve the traditions of rural Portugal. After seeing a miniature village we will drive to a real life village that still maintains the characteristics of old villages. It is truly traveling back in time.

Continuing our journey, we will arrive in Ericeira, a picturesque fishing village and world-renowned surfing destination. First taking a stroll through its charming old town, with cobbled streets lined with white and blue houses. For lunch, we will enjoy fresh seafood specialties like grilled sardines, octopus salad, or a hearty seafood rice (arroz de marisco) while listening to the waves crash against the cliffs.

Iconic Monasteries & Nazaré

This tour takes us to two of the most iconic UNESCO World Heritage monasteries of Portugal, followed by a lunch by the sea in one of the most famous coastal town in the country, known for its fishing traditions and gigantic waves.

Our journey begins at the Alcobaça Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of Portugal’s most magnificent Gothic landmarks, founded in 1153.  

A short drive takes us to the Batalha Monastery, another UNESCO World Heritage Site built to commemorate the Portuguese victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385. The most impressive Gothic monument of Portugal .

After immersing ourselves in history, it’s time to enjoy the coastal beauty of Nazaré, one of Portugal’s most iconic seaside towns. Strolling through Praia da Nazaré, where traditional fishing boats line the shore, and locals still dry fish in the sun. The perfect place for savouring fresh seafood at a beachfront restaurant, enjoying grilled sardines, seafood rice, or the famous “caldeirada” (fish stew), while watching the waves roll in.

To end our tour we visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, a pilgrimage site steeped in legend, and completing our site seeing at the Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo, famous for its lighthouse and its proximity to the giant waves that attract world-class surfers.
